9th July 2005: 100-year anniversary at Mayer & Cie. Thousands of citizens from Albstadt joined in the celebrations.
The most important aspect on the day of the celebrations was the weather but we were very lucky, the rain clouds were gone and our event had every chance of being a success – which it was. Several thousand visitors including employees and their families, retired colleagues and of course people from the town of Albstadt came to the company grounds in Tailfingen.

Mayer & Cie. to equip entire circular knitting factory of major new textile complex under construction in Northern Iran.
The Sabalan Parcheh textile plant currently undergoing construction in Ardabil in Northern Iran near the Caspian Sea will be among the biggest textile corporations anywhere in the Middle East. From spinning through dyeing, knitting, weaving, finishing and printing to making up, a large-scale complex is in the making here which will provide an enormous boost to employment in the region.

Premiere of the new “Basic-Line“ machine series from Mayer & Cie. at the Shanghai-Tex.
The new Basic-Line series is designed to round off the bottom end of the versatile Mayer & Cie. circular knitting machine range. The first model to emerge from this new machine series is the S4-3.2 single jersey machine, due to be presented to the public for the first time at the Shanghai-Tex at the beginning of June. Other innovative developments to be launched by Mayer & Cie. in 2005 are the Relanit 1.6 R, with the capability to knit stripes in up to 10 colours, and the OVJA 1.6 ET, a versatile fully electronic jacquard machine with transfer.
