Open day at Anusam Knitting Mills in Southern India.
Anusam, one of Southern India's most upwardly mobile knitting mills, commissioned four new Relanit 3.2 II knitting machines from Mayer & Cie. at the end of 2002. This is the region's first knitting manufacturer to work with "Relanit", the current standard in single jersey circular knitting. Anusam's enthusiasm about the outstanding knitting quality and performance of the newly installed machines prompted it to stage an open day. This offered local specialists, particularly those from other knitting factories in the region, the chance to experience the benefits of the Relanit 3.2 II at first hand. An impressive 250 visitors representing more than 50 companies made the trip to appraise the Relanit 3.2 II machines in practical application. Visitors were visibly impressed by the machine's "unbelievable" performance. For knitters from around the region, Relanit technology represents a new circular knitting machine generation: Hence the enormous interest. The knitting industry in Southern India is certain to look towards the reliable bulk production of top quality fabric using Relanit knitting machines as a means to secure its future success. The Relanit 3.2 II is not only one of the most high-performance single jersey knitting machines ever produced - it is also accepted among experts as one of the best solutions available for lycra plating.
With Anusam, Mayer & Cie. has taken a first step towards further modernization of the circular knitting industry in the Southern Indian region. The world's leading circular knitting machine manufacturer is already planning for follow-on orders from the region, with negotiations for additional machines currently in full swing.
