Mayer & Cie. investing in the future.
New production facilities enhance more than just productivity.
For Mayer & Cie., the on-going optimization of manufacturing precision and consequently product quality constitutes an essential factor in any production investment decision.
Once again in 2002, almost 6 million Euro will be invested in new CNC-controlled metal processing machines and largely automated production centres at the company's Albstadt headquarters. This move will serve to strengthen the production base and at the same time gives out a clear signal about the company's continuing faith in Germany as a producing location in the future. For Mayer & Cie. customers, this commitment may contribute towards reinforcing the company's technological and qualitative lead, as well as ensuring an even higher degree of precision and consequently economy in application.
The future - what this means for Mayer & Cie. is first and foremost the assurance of a qualified and highly motivated workforce. Which is why such importance is attached to training at Mayer & Cie. In the year 2002, twenty young people will be receiving training in vocational fields such as mechanics, mechatronics, technical drawing and mechanical engineering (BA). The development and promotion of skilled specialists from within the company's own ranks enjoys a long tradition at Mayer & Cie.
Quality with a future &endash;Mayer & Cie.'s certification to DIN ISO 9001 was confirmed - as expected - in November 2001.
