Mayer & Cie. delivers its 1,000th circular knitting machine to India.
SPL Industries Ltd. takes delivery of Inovit 2.0 QC. India is a very important market for Mayer & Cie., the world's leading manufacturer of circular knitting machines, since the Indian textile industry is predicted to have one of the world's largest growth potentials.

Mayer & Cie. has been actively engaged in India for many years in cooperation with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GTZ), on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in Berlin. The goal of this Public Private Partnership (PPP) is to train professional knitters in India.

The success of this enterprise and the high level of market presence by the Mayer & Cie. agency, Batliboi Ltd., is demonstrated by the sales successes of Mayer & Cie. products in India.

The 1,000th Mayer & Cie. circular knitting machine was recently delivered to India. The recipient was SPL Industries Ltd., a full-stage operation, which also finishes, dyes, prints and makes up. SPL was founded in 1974 and has now developed into one of India's leading textile companies. It currently runs 46 circular knitting machines in all variants in the single and double range.

In the last two years alone, SPL has put 17 new Mayer & Cie. circular knitting machines into operation and is planning further MCT machines in the near future.

The 1,000th machine for India was a 3rd generation Inovit 2.0 QC. This is a high-output and versatile machine for double-jersey structures through to 1:1 rib with quick gauge change using Quick Change. This circular knitting machine is especially distinguished by high productivity at the lowest possible cost. With a speed of max. 1.4 m/s with 62 feeders (30“/35 RPM), the Inovit 2.0 QC produces large quantities reliably and confidently, with the best knit quality. This machine will enable SPL to further optimise its circular knitting productivity.
